Farm Rebellion with Ernst Gotsch

Fixer Brazil served as the production services provider for the German production company Megaherz during the filming in Brazil of the latest international original on Disney+, Farm Rebellion.

The series revolves around Benedikt Bösel, a former investment banker turned farmer and visionary, leading a young team in testing a groundbreaking approach to agriculture.

Benedikt faces the challenges of drought and sandy soils on his farm near Berlin, which are increasingly prevalent worldwide. During his time in Brazil, he had the opportunity to meet Ernst Gotsch, a Swiss farmer and researcher with a background in genetic science and the creator of Syntropic Agriculture.

A film crew from Europe joined forces with the Brazilian team for a week-long shoot, capturing the captivating essence of Ernst’s agroforestry farm. This remarkable location boasts an abundance of stunning cocoa trees alongside various other species.

Filming the Brazilian Canyons – South Brazil

Aldinan, the truck driver, enjoys the view at Serra do Rio do Rastro.

Serra do Rio do Rastro is the most beautiful road of Brazil and one of the most scenics of the world. And that was the main reason Spoon, contente agency from Sweden, chose the location for Volvo Truck’s web-serie episode filmed in Brazil.

Sujay, Axel and Matthey preparing for the first shooting day at Serra do Rio do Rastro.

A multi cultural crew of Swedes, an Australian and some Brazilians joined to produce the film for 4 days in Serras Catarinenses – a complex of mountains and canyons located in the south of the country.

Sujay, Axel, Nick and Mathew.

There were some amazing and challenging drone shots at the canyons and on a bridge over Pelotas River.

Felipe, Drone pilot, getting the job done!
Great rig for some POV shots on the truck.

Axel, producer from Spoon, did an amazing job on his reserach for locations in Brazil. It was a great pleasure to help him and the crew to get all the permits and logistics organized for a smooth shooting.

Amazing sunset on last day of shooting.

The final result is a beautiful episode about Driver’s World with Aldinan, the Brazilian truck driver – main character of the film.

Crew filming with Tony Osse

Shot in São Paulo, Barueri and Ubatuba, the episode showcases the Osse family building their own boat to travel from Brazil to Alaska.

Sailing at Ubatuba

Kerstin, the producer, and Ake, the DP, traveled from the cold Gothenburg to São Paulo to join Tomaz, the Fixer, Clara, sound recordist, and Felipe, the driver. We had two days of shooting in São Paulo and Barueri, at Osse’s place, and two days in Ubatuba, at the beautiful Saco da Ribeira beach and surroundings.

Tomaz, Clara, Ake and Kersting at Saco da Ribeira

Filming Jangadeiros in Ceará for French Television Arte

Fixer Brazil was hired by the French Production Company Découpages to organize the production of the brazilian episode of the TV Series “Peoples of the Sea“. We went to “Prainha do Canto Verde” to film the “Jangadeiros” a type of traditional fisherman that fish with the Jangada raft.

We did a short making of video about the shoot and the wonderful trip.

“It’s been a pleasure preparing this movie with FixerBrazil. Tomaz did a very great job. We will definitely recommend you to anyone who wishes to make a movie in Brazil.”  Diane Micouleau / Producer – Decoupages.fr

Check what other producers have to say about us:

Renato Falzoni from 10e20 Filmes is an excellent fixer with in depth knowledge of the country. He is organized, determined and has a great ‘can do’ attitude. He was able to open doors that I thought were double padlocked, and quickly. I can highly recommend him.

Paul Reddish,
Director
Free Spirit Film

“Brazil – A Natural History” is a 5 part series produced by Terra Mater Factual Studios for National Geographic.
10e20 Filmes was our partner in Brazil and they provided all the administrative and logistical support to produce this blue chip series. 10e20 Filmes proved to be a reliable partner with a passion for film making. On our next projects in Brazil I will certainly work with them again and I can recommend that you do the same, you will not be disappointed.

“Lonelyleap has successfully worked with Tomaz Cavalieri of 10e20 Filmes on two different documentary commercials to date. In both instances, Tomaz calmly guided our team through customs + permitting procedures and into production, ensuring best practices were upheld and proper safety precautions considered. Tomaz is level-headed, focused, and able to adapt to changing environs. Beyond his capacity to effectively produce, he is also generous in nature and thus a pleasure to work alongside. He consistently goes above and beyond; I look forward to future projects together.”

Tomaz is probably the best fixer I have ever worked with. We arrived in Brazil to shoot a very high profile documentary and we had had no experience about the country at all. Tomaz not only organised what an excellent production needs – from crew to equipment – but went the extra mile… forget that, HE WENT THE EXTRA LIGHT YEAR! If you have the chance, hire him.”

Andras Rac
, Executive Producer

We really enjoyed working with Tomaz from FixerBrazil, and we quite literally couldn’t have done it without him.
I truly can’t thank the FixerBrazil team enough.”

Dave McLean, Executive Producer

“My company Image Impact has just completed a complicated shoot in Brazil – in just 9 days our small crew travelled from Sao Paulo to Rio Grande in the south, and Belem in the north, filming the science and natural history of venomous snakes. Without the help of Tomaz and his team it would have been impossible to make the film – as well as arranging our entry to the country and dealing with customs, his help was also invaluable with last-minute logistics and making arrangements with local experts. I’d recommend his services to any production company shooting in Brazil.”
